Pictures of cane toads (Bufo marinus, Rhinella marina, or Sapo gigante). They live in Central and South America. They can grow up to six inches and weigh up to 2.9 pounds.
Cane toads eat plants and insects. When threatened, the Cane Toad extretes a toxin that can kill animals and sometimes humans. Their populations aren't currently threatened. They were introduced to Australia and have been so successful that they're now considered pests because they compete with native reptiles and amphibians for food.
Fun fact: Unlike other frog and toad species that find prey by movement, the Cane Toad finds food by smell.
