Taken in Bermuda in the spring of 2000. I used to have this labelled as a "Bermuda Rock Lizard", but someone who seems convincing told me that it's not.9/1/2001. Resolution: 1227x1841.

Hi, I was bitten by a small snake. He was dark brown with tan rings. Could you please tell me what kind this is??? He was hiding under leaves. I also live in the woods. Thank you! Barbara (11/8/2006, 2:13 PM)

This picture looks (to me) like a common Anole mutation found in central Florida. the green anoles that were once as abundant as mosquitos, are now mutated into something that looks similar to this picture and some that look prehistoric. Probably from a lizard that was brought in from mexico by the migrants from (3/7/2005, 6:49 PM)

This is NOT a photo of the Bermuda Skink (otherwise know as a Bermuda Rock Lizard). This is a photo of a very common and introduced female Jamaican anole (Anolis grahami). Sorry to burst your bubble. Pleas e.mail me if you would like any information on the Bermuda Skinks. I am studying them for my doctoral thesis. biobabe@ibl.bm Lisa Kitson Bermuda Skink Project Bermuda Aquarium Museum and Zoo.
