Next These wood ducks are extremely sensitive to human interaction. Even though they live on the same pond as I, they've never become habituated enough to me. Literally, if I just open the back door, they'll run away. I haven't been able to get much closer than about 100 feet, even crawling on my belly. So, this isn't a great picture, but it's the best I have right now. Taken in Phillipston, Massachusetts with a Canon 5D, a 100-400mm L lens, and a 2x teleconverter manually focused.10/15/2007.
