Green frogs range from 2.25 to 3.5 inches, with the largest green frog on record ringing in at 4.25 inches. They're not always green; many of them are more brownish. Typically they live in brooks and small streams, but I found mine near a pond in Phillipston, Massachusetts. You can distinguish the green frog by the distinct dorsal ridges.
