Pictures of Central American Jumping Pitvipers (Atropoides mexicanus). They're in the Viper family (Viperidae). They grow to 90 cm maximum, which is a little less than three feet. They eat small rodents and lizards, and have about 35 offspring. They live in tropical and subtropical rainforests in Costa Rica and other countries.
