Pictures of neotropical rattlesnakes, family Viperidae (the viper family). Scientific name Crotalus durissus. Their size is 1.8 meters at most, a little over 5 feet. They're terrestrial and nocturnal, and feed on small mammals.

They have up to 39 offspring and they're relatively common in dry forests in Guanacaste and Puntarenas (Costa Rica).
