Pictures of white-rumped shamas (Copsychus malabaricus).
They live in Southern Asia in India, Burma, Nepal, Andaman Islands, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Laos, China, Indonesia and Thailand. They were introduced ot the Hawaiian islands in the mid to late 1900s. THey prefer lowload broadleaf forests such as bamboo and teak forests.
They have a loud, clear, melodious song and they can also mimic the sounds of other birds, like a mockingbird.
