Pictures of white-tailed deer taken at my house in Phillipston, Massachusetts.
Currently their only predators are bobcats and coyotes, but I saw a fawn killed by a cougar in July 2007--but cougars haven't lived in this area for 100 years. The cougar was probably someone's pet. Cougars aside, the white-tailed deer population has been doing well in the area, and they've even allowed some hunting to help control the population. No, I'm not a hunter.
