Portfolio

Hi.  I'm Tony Northrup (email), author and photographer. Check out the sample pictures in the slideshow, and then pick a category below to browse through my 10,000 pictures.

11/19/09: I've added several new bird and frog species, and made some design changes to the site. Most notably, all watermarks are gone, and I've removed the links to buy pictures or prints. You can still buy them, but you need to click the picture to open the purchase page. My focus now is on offering free content to everyone. Happy holidays!
7/24/09: I've added slideshows to all the categories, so people can just sit back and enjoy the show instead of clicking around.

7/8/09: I've hired writers to expand descriptions for my animal pages, so soon every species will have a detailed description that includes the area the animal lives in, the type of food they eat, and their social habits. I've also added about thirty new species of animals, and I'm currently adding pictures from a recent trip to Europe, including France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, and the Czech Republic.
6/1/09: Added pictures from San Francisco.
7/1/08: Added pictures from Costa Rica.
8/21/07: Added more languages: 中国, Deutsch, Italiano, Połski

4/1/07: I upgraded the site from .NET Framework 1.1 to 2.0 in order to take advantage of improved security, performance, and caching features. So far, so good.

1/20/07: I finally retired my very old, very unreliable server. I replaced it with a desktop computer I originally purchased to test Windows Vista. The new server is about 8-15 times faster. It's also way more secure because it's running Windows Server 2003 instead of Windows 2000 Server.

12/7/06: I've been working with Windows Vista (the next version of Windows) for about a year now, but most people will use it for the first time in the next year. I wanted some place to give tips and tricks that I've figured out from working with Vista, so I created a blog called Vista Clues . Hey, there aren't many domain names left. Anyway, check it out once you upgrade to Vista. Since I have a different website for technical stuff, I'll make this website focused on my pictures... Hence, the categories listed above.
